SKYFIBER’s Founder & CTO Mark Doucet to Speak at the 2012 CUDI Spring Conference held May 21-24 At the Spring 2012 CUDI (Corporación Universitaria para el Desarrollo de Internet) Meeting in Ensenada, Mexico, SKYFIBER’s Founder and CTO Mark Doucet will speak on May 24th as a part of the Radio Networks Focus Session.

ENSENADA, MEXICO - On May 24th, Mark Doucet, the Founder and CTO of SKYFIBER, will deliver the presentation, “The Past, Present and Future of Free Space Optics” to the Radio Networks Session at CUDI’s (Corporación Universitaria para el Desarrollo de Internet) Spring meeting. Mr. Doucet has been involved in the development and deployment of Optical Wireless networks for almost two decades, and founded the SKYFIBER/Dominion LaserCom Corporation in 1996. Based in Texas, SKYFIBER is an international provider of Optical Wireless Broadband solutions, and holds 17 key patents pertaining to Optical Wireless Broadband (OWB) / Free Space Optics (FSO) technology.
CUDI is a non-profit consortium created to build and operate a high-performance backbone network throughout Mexico, specifically dedicated for research and education. When asked about the upcoming presentation, Mark Doucet noted, “We welcome every opportunity to further educate the industry about the value of Optical Wireless Broadband / Free Space Optics. CUDI’s presentations are known to involve key thought leaders in both the telecom industry as well as academia.”
SKYFIBER currently has several active deployments in Mexico, as well as a sales presence throughout the Central & Latin American region.
